About Kai

Kai was born in Germany and holds a Masters degree in Nautical Engineering from the University of Oldenburg in Germany.

His knowledge and experience from training super athletes like Annika Sorenstam, Grant Hill (NBA), Will Asher (Waterski), Eddie Cheever (Indy Racing) and many others is invaluable. He has been involved in professional sports since 1985, first as a competitive water skier, then as a coach and trainer in waterskiing and wake boarding.

In 2001 he implemented his workout philosophy to train Annika Sorenstam till the end of her playing career (72 LPGA wins, 10 majors). While training with Kai, Annika has gained over 25 yards of driving distance while also improving her accuracy. She went on to be voted Female Athlete of the Year 2 times in a row.

Accumulatively his golfers have won 15 Major Championships and over 150 tournaments on the LPGA, PGA, European Tour and Japanese LPGA.

His water skiers and wake boarders have won over 100 titles including multiple X-Games and Gravity-Games and hold several world records.

Kai is also a certified facilitator for the Pacific Institutes Investment in Excellence course which teaches to develop the right attitude for success through cognitive psychology.

Kai is frequently invited to share and teach his program for the LPGA, German PGA as well as Universities and expert summits. He has been featured in many media outlets like Golf Magazine, Golf World, Japanese Golf Digest, German Golf Journal, Golf Fitness Magazine, Waterski Magazine, ESPN, USA Today, 60 Minutes, Golf Channel and more.

Kai also consulted as an expert to Cage Fitness, a workout program featuring MMA Great Matt Hughes.

Kai has authored “Weight Training for Golf”, the most comprehensive book for golf fitness and has also produced the 8-DVD series “Kai Fitness for Golf”.
